The Australian Army Band from Kapooka performing during Breakfast in the Park.
The high light of my visit was the reaction of the only lady in our small group which came together after lunch in the pub, to discuss my books. She picked up one (below) of the two photos I had on display of Sarcherie twice beating Peter Pan, who had beaten her in one of the Melbourne Cups. Many moons ago a friend of this lady had placed a winning bet on Sarcherie in one of her races. She used the proceeds to buy a very expensive leather case which she named Sarcherie. Before she would even speak to me, the lady present was so excited she had to send on a text message, telling her friend all about Sarcherie.
Sarcherie winning and Peter Pan third.
